Miso Ecosystem builds free, open-source tools for everyday technical work. The current applications are RankMiso, an SEO browser extension, and DBMiso, a desktop database workbench that is still in development.

The initiative is independent. It is not a registered corporation, foundation, charity, or nonprofit. This site does not list a company address, tax status, or certification, because those things do not exist here.

Why the work exists

A lot of useful software has become heavy. Miso’s rule is the opposite: powerful tools, less overhead. That means watching memory, CPU, and network use, keeping interfaces calm, and leaving private data on the machine unless there is a reason to send it somewhere.

What “lightweight” means here

RankMiso’s audit runs in the browser you already have open. This website is exported to static files so reading it does not require a Node.js process. DBMiso is being built as a local desktop application, with database credentials kept in the operating system keyring or in memory for one session.

Long-term shape

Later tools may include API clients, Git utilities, or other small developer programs. They would stay in their own repositories. The website only needs a new entry in the product registry.
