Introduction
This policy covers the Miso Ecosystem website at https://misoecosystem.com. RankMiso and DBMiso have their own privacy policies.
The website is a set of static pages. There are no accounts, forms, or databases behind it.
Who is responsible
The website is run by Edeeson Opina for the Miso Ecosystem, an independent open-source initiative. Edeeson Opina is the data controller for the website and can be reached at ed@misoecosystem.com.
Information we collect
You can read every page without an account. The website has no contact form and never asks you to create a profile. If you email us, we receive what you choose to send and use it only to reply.
Cookies and browser storage
The website does not set cookies and does not write to localStorage or any other browser storage. Animations are plain CSS. There is nothing to accept and no consent banner, because nothing is stored.
Server logs
The website has no analytics or advertising scripts. Like almost every website, the web server records a short access log for each request: IP address, browser user agent, time, and the page requested.
These logs are used only to keep the website secure and running, which is our legitimate interest under the GDPR. They are kept for no longer than 14 days and then deleted automatically. They are never sold, shared, or used to track you.
International transfers
The website may be served from a server located outside your country. Where personal information such as a server log entry crosses borders, it is handled as described in this policy and protected by the safeguards the law requires.
Retention
Server logs are deleted within 14 days. Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to answer you. The website keeps nothing in your browser, so there is nothing to clear.
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal information, including the website and any email you send us.
Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask to access, correct, or delete your personal information, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a portable copy. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), you can ask what personal information has been collected about you, and ask for it to be corrected or deleted. You will not be treated differently for using these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information, as those laws define selling and sharing, and we do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.
To make a request, email ed@misoecosystem.com. We respond within one month. We may ask for details that help us confirm the request is yours.
Children's privacy
Miso tools and this website are not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email ed@misoecosystem.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change materially affects how your information is handled, we will say so clearly on this page before it takes effect.
